KKKbye Daily Calendar [PREORDER]

$50.00

PLEASE READ FOR PREORDER INFO.

Fuck it. Fuck it. Fuck it. I have been filled with so much rage, frustration and resignation over these past few years, in some cases since childhood. I have early memories of being shown black folks hanging from trees, “lynching picnics”, whipped backs, weary faces, and battered hands. I remember the first time a classmate called me a “n*gger”, I remember the first time an adult called me by the same name. My family comes from slavery. So much of my personal history has been wrapped in this struggle of both a sense of safety and identity. I don’t know what I can do at times. I do the voting, the protesting, the calling. That doesn’t always quell the anger though. A few days ago I took some of that rage and created a two panel comic illustrating the death of a klansmen; a metaphorical longing and depiction of my exhaustion. It blew up over night and become something a little larger than I had anticipated. I immediately had tens of thousands of individuals engaged. Many of you felt it was a bit cathartic. Suggestions for more illustrations started flooding in, requests for merch are being demanded. I also found it to be a bit cathartic and therapeutic.

After creating over 40 of these drawings in just a couple of days I decided we need a daily calendar. Every morning we can wake up and reveal a bit of illustrated justice. Over 300 creative and humorous deaths that might embody the rage within many of us right now. Each page will be perforated so you can remove and display your favorite fatalities or even gift them <3. This is a bit different from the sparkly dead bugs, glowing flowers, and plants you’re used to seeing from me, but is no less personal and honest. This falls under the same branch as the Raise Some Heck shirts as far I’m concerned.

20% of the profits from each calendar will be redistributed to local causes and nonprofits here in Tulsa (Home of the country’s most violent race massacre in US history.) Specifics of how these funds will be shared and used will be shared as sales roll in and I have meetings with folks around town. Below you’ll find some concepts of how the calendar will look. Final font and font size can change. Each page will depict a two panel comic that can be torn from the calendar.

Here are the specifics of your calendar:

Daily Tear-Off Calendar

5.25" wide x 4.25" high

full color digital print, full bleed, different design on every page

314 pages (cover, individual pages for weekdays, Sat/Sun share a page)

mounted on black plastic stand

individually shrink wrapped

Your calendar will ship early November (possibly sooner, but this all depends on how many orders come in. I will be fully transparent as this project unfolds.)

Thank you for your support and raising some heck with me.
